Providing a Professional & Honest Approach
Scottish Vet Referrals is a dedicated veterinary referral centre located in the beautiful surroundings of the Inverness Campus.
We are the only independent referral practice in the North of Scotland, owned by the partners.

About Our Practice
We currently provide cardiorespiratory, CT scanning, dermatology, eye testing, internal medicine and oncology, ophthalmology and orthopaedic and soft tissue surgery services; delivering dedicated expertise with state of the art specialist equipment in a custom-designed facility.
For the future, our desire is to augment our team with veterinary surgeons who are experts in other areas of veterinary medicine. The facility has been designed to accommodate this expansion in service and expertise.
If your pet is in need of immediate medical attention, in the first instance please contact your own veterinary practice.

Refer a case
To refer a case, please email over a full medical history (including the owner contact details) with a brief description of the condition as well as any radiographs, blood tests and photos.
Once we have received the relevant information, we will be in touch with the client to arrange an appointment.

Our Services
Our team have a vast experience in delivering dedicated expertise with state of the art specialist equipment in a custom-designed facility.
Cardiorespiratory
Craig Devine visits Scottish Vet Referrals every Wednesday and is available for email advice and support between visits.
CT Scanning
Scottish Vet Referrals was the first veterinary practice in the Highlands with a permanent, on-site CT scanner. This is utilised by our referral clinicians in ophthalmology, medicine, oncology, cardiology and surgery, as well as being available for an ‘imaging only’ service to referring practices.
Dermatology
Several clinical studies have indicated that up to 75% of small animal patients are presented to veterinary practices for dermatological disorders. Dermatology involves a wide range of skin and systemic diseases.
Eye Testing
The Eye Scheme (BVA - Canine Health Schemes) is mainly designed to identify hereditary eye conditions in dogs.
Tony Wall is the only ophthalmologist in the Highlands who is qualified to offer this service.
Internal Medicine & Oncology
Simon Bate, our Internal Medicine and Oncology Clinician is in practice on Tuesdays and Wednesdays each week.
Ophthalmology
After operating an ambulatory referral ophthalmic service for over 20 years in veterinary practices across the north of Scotland, our ophthalmologists, Tony Wall and Kirsten Macleod, opened Scottish Vet Referrals in Inverness in February 2017, the first dedicated referral practice in the North of Scotland.
Orthopaedic Surgery & Neurology
Our orthopaedic referral service is led by Roberto Bergamaschi, an advanced practitioner in Small Animal Surgery and consultant in Small Animal Neurology. He is available for surgical cases Monday to Friday at the practice.
